These are a few of the elements that make me like this picture.
There is a kind of Mondriane composition of dark and light areas on which and a pleasing arrangement of plants and flowers are painted. Each flower and plant has a story of it's own, filling the space in an entertaining way.

Hi Jenny - I can only guess that you were feeling tired when you painted this?? (hence the lines around the eyes - or is this part of your shy nature???) I like your work, some of the other portraits are like "I know that bloke, or I've seen that person somewhere before, a kind of familiarity about them".
